Popular interest in the fearful tragedy that was enaoted over three month* ago at •the Great Barrier Island has been reawakened by news received to-day from Australia that traces ,pf the murderers have been discovered. 1 The news is contained in the following telegram road by Superintendaht Thompson: — "Sydney, September 29. — Superintendent Polioo, Auckland : Re murder of Taylor at Great Barrier Island : — Wreckage .found near Port Macquarrie on 25th inst. Board with " Sovereign of Sens "on it. No doubt portions of kstch in which murderers escape. I am having strict and pressing inquiries made. Will wire further.— Edmond Fosbery, Inspector-General of Police."
