WHITE ISLAND IN ERUPTION.
[m TBLKOUAPH.— PRKSB ASSOCIATION.] Whlmnwton, Sunday. White Inland was in activo eruption on Saturday. The people of Whakatane at three o clock on that day observed vast columns of smoke and steam blown into the air some hundreds of feet. No danger was apprehended, as for weeks the wind had been from the west.
