Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Waipa County Council, at a meeting to be held on TUESDAY, October 12th, 1886, to MAKE a GENERAL RATE of q of a penny in the pound for the period commencing on the Ist of April, 1886, and terminating on the 31st of March, 1887, the rate to be payable in one instalment on the 13th day of October, 1886. It is proposed to TAKE for the purpose of MAKING a ROAD a certain portion of LAND, the property of Mr C. Ewen of Taiuahere, situated next to and abutting on the west side of the Mangaone Creek, being part of Section No. 3, parish of Tamahere, opposite to Section No. 53, Parish of Tamahere. Said piece or parcel of land contains by admeasurement 26 perches, more or less, and lies between the present main Hamilton-Cambridge Road and the creek before mentioned. Any objections to this proposal must be made in writing, within forty days from this date, to the Chairman of the

Claims in writing should be forwarded to the Secretary Royal Commission, addressed Post-office, Hamilton, on or before the 30th day of September, setting forth name and address ot claimant, regiment or corps to which he belonged, date of discharge, what application he has made for the land or scrip, and to whom, and any other information he may wish to give.
