TE AROHA, [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Te Aroha; Friday.
A meeting of the creditors of James Warren, late of the Palace Hotel, was held yesteiday in the court house. Nearly all the local creditors were present, and a few in Auckland were represented by Mr L. Ehrenfriod. The sworn statement of the debtor was read, and after a brief examination, relating principally to his business transactions with Mr Ehrenfried, a resolution was passed on the motion of that creditor, that all further proceedings in the bankruptcy be transferred from the local court to the Bankruptcy Court in Auckland. Mr Stratford, the recently appointed magistrate and warden for the Thames district, is expected here on Saturday, and will hold a sitting of the R.M. Oouit on Monday, the 13th inst., instead of Tuesday, the regular day. _, Very heavy rain fell hero on Thursday night and yesterday morning, and the river during the day roi-e to the highest level it has reached at any time during the winter.
