MR REYNOLDS' BUTTER FACTORY.

Mr H«im? Reynolds is about starting an industry that cannot fail to prove a great boon to the Bottlers of Pukekura and Pukerimu. It is his intention to proceed with the immediate erection cf a factory at Pukekura, where butter will bo made by the "separator" process. The lines on which the concern is to be run are somewhat as follows -.—The factory will be built on Mr Reynolds' land at Pukokura, and he will milk about one hundred cows there, and about half that number at Newstead. The milk front 200 cows will be supplied by the neighbouring settlers in the summer, and in order to enable the factory to be wo**ed all the year round, each supplier engages to send a quantity equal to one-half his sumtrier Bupply during the winter months, lne price to be paid for the milk is 2W per gallon, which, although Id per gallon lower than what is given at the Cambridge yheese Factory, is considered fully *s good for the supplier, seeing that carriage for a long distance is saved, and the suppliers are to receive back again the same quantity oj separated milk as the fresh milk they send in for id per gallon, the separated unk being first-rate for feeding pigs, bnould the profits during the winter turn out as well as ia anticipated, a rise of .}d per gallon will be given for the winter milk. The buildings to be erected are to be ot a substantial nature, and it is expected that operations will be commenced early m October. Mr Gemmill, of Hamilton, has been engaged aa manager for one year.
