Lawlessness in the North. Auckland, Friday Night. News has been received that seven persons have been arrested at Whangarei, on charges of horse and piar stealing, also robbery with violence. Constable Gordon made the arrest, and telegraphed to Superintendent Thomson th.it the ca^e would come on for hearing on Saturday next.

The Cambridge West School. At the Board of Education to-day, the Cambridge West Committee wrote Asking for a grant of £12 for the purpose of fencing in a section adjoining the school. The application wa« granted, supject to tho condition thut th« work be let by tender, nnd that the land be ploughed, and put down in grass.
The Waikato Fellmongery Company. In the Supreme Court in re the Waikato Fellmongery Company, it was ordered that creditor* of tho company should send in claims within a month from the first adver tisement, and that Mr Buddie be appointed solicitor to the official liquidator".
