At Waitoa, on rhuvsd.iy, there was a good attendance of buyers, and firm prices realised, but the cattle from the Whakatane Cattle Company were of exceptionally good quality, being the best lot of young stock e\'er yarded in Waikato, and sold well worth the money. Prices were— for steers calves from £2 2s 0d to £2 10s ; heifer calves, in one lot, at £1 IDs ; empty cows, at 255 ; aud spayed hoifeis, at £2 4s ; grown steers, from £3 13s Gd to £4 2s Gd, and well worth the money. Sold a pen of steers off turnips at £.">, another at £4 15s ; pen of cows,. £3 5s ; and one at £32s Gd. 80 wethers, at 10s Gd ; !)0, at 11s Gd. No horses offered. At Cambridge on Saturday, in conßequence of the produce sale following on preceding' sale, we had only a small sale. Prices were —for Lapstone kidney seed potatoes, 5s the cwt. ; Magnum Bonum, at Ss Gd per bag ; Hobartown potatoes, 8s per bag ; chaff,' at £4 10s per ton ; and o cwt. dairy fed bacon at7'iperlb. No fowls sold. Feed oats 3s, Id per bushel, and seed oats same price.

Adelaide wheat, ex store, i& Gd higher, viz., 37*; Adelaide flour has advanced 6d, 2os Gd ; New Zealand, wheat, ex store, ranges from 28s to 33s (id, being a shilling higher fo* best qualities.— The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom i.s 1,700,000 quarters, being 50,000 quarters less "than last week. — New Zealand mutton :' Prime quality has declined to 4^d to 4|d per lb. — Australian tallow is unchanged^ Beef,, average quality, 21s Gd ; mutton, 275. London, August 21.— The unfavourable harvest reports which have been received have caused a further advance to Gd in the wheat market. American prices are ■ stn >nger despite the libci al supplies. Flour is Gd dearer.— The English hop harvests are promising.
