Re Thames-Te Akoha Railway EXTEN-Sm,-i-I am directed by the Minister for Public Works to .acknowledge the receipt A your letter of 21st ult, forwarded throuurh MrWhyte, M.H.R., requesting that the construction of the Thames-Te Aroha railway might be proceeded with at the Te Aroha end, simultaneously with the carrying out of the works at the other end of the line, and, in reply, to state that the matter | will be duly considered after the votes for j railway construction have been passed by Parliament.— I have, etc., 5 ■ (fcgd H.
