HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.
A MEBriNO of the board in committee was held last evening at the Council Chambers to consider the subdivision of the domain lands at Hamilton East. Present : Mr W. A. Graham (chairman), Messrs Dey, Tippen, Bell, Barton and Jones. After considering the plan brought forward by the engineer, it was resolved that the land bo cut up into 15 sections, varying from 3 to 11,I 1 , acies, and that the Redoubt Reserve (No." 412), 10 acres in extent, be laid down in grass, fenced, and offered for lease in due time, from year to year as by law required. The question of fencing allotments was then considered, and it was lesolved that the dividing fences between each lot .should be erected by the board as well as the exterior fences. The clerk was instructed to advertise the land for sale on Saturday, the 28th hist., the land to be offered in its present state, and fenced, at 15s per acre, and it was agreed that any of the sections left unsold under these conditions be laid down in good grass paddocks and then put up to auction again. The Engineer stated that plans and specifications for the drainage scheme towards the Hamilton West Cemetery would be ready on Monday next, the 23rd inst.
