PARLIAMENT. [BY TELEGRAPH.-PRESS ASSOCIATION.]

In the Legislative Council a motion was agreed to, that the Council on rising should , adjourn to Saturday. In committee the Property Assessment Bill question, as to whether the Bill was a money Bill was raised. The matter was referred to the Speaker, who ruled that the Bill could be amended as it did not affect the question of appropriation. Several measures were advanced a stage. The Council resumed at 7.30 p.m. The Rabbit Nuisance Bill, the Property Tax Bill, and the Public Revenue Bill were read a first time. Several other measures were advanced, and the Council rose at 9.20 p.m.
