LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. WEDNESDAY.
The Counciltdccided to insist on the two amendments fix the Countiu-* Hill, disagreed with by the Hoiise. Cettain amendments disagreed to by the House in the Deceased Poisons Estates Bill were not insisted on. The Special Powers Bill was read a 8 3cond time, and referred to the Waste Lands Committee. It was decided to insist on the amendments to the Municipal Corporations Bill which had been disagreed with by the House. The Stamp Act Amendment Bill was committed, and progress reported, and the Council adjourned at 7.30 p.m. The Council resumed :it 7.30 p.m. Dr. Pollen brought up the report of the committee appointed to draw .up reasons why the Council insisted upon their amendments iv the Counties and Muncipal Corporations Bill. Both reports were adopted, and ordered to be transmitted to the House. The Council adjourned at 8.1.") p.m.
