London, August 6. In the cricket match, Australians v. Gloucestershire to-day, at Clifton, the Australians continued their first innings, which closed for 211, or nine runs behind theii opponenta score. The Home team then went in for their second innings, and at the conclusion of the day's play had put together 190 runs for the loss of five wickets. The principal scores made to-day were :—: — For the Australians : Jones, caught, 157 ; and Blackhatn, bowled, 00. For Gloucestershire, Brain scored 70 before being disposed of.

August 7. The cricket match, Australians v. GloucesterHhiro, was concluded to-day, at Clifton. The Home team, having five wicketb down for 19(J, continued their innings, which closed for 358, W. (r. Grace playing a splendid game for 110. The Australians, requiring 368 funs to win, went in for their second innings. When the play stopped they had 173 for five wickets. Uitfen, caught, 43, and Scott, bowled, 73, were the most successful batsmen. The match was declared drawn.
