FOOTBALL. Proposed Visit of N.S.W. Footballers.
A noon meeting of footballers was held last Saturday, at the Royal Hotel, Hamilton Enht, to consider the above. A lfttcr from the Secretary of the Cambridge Football Club, was read asking what amount the Hamilton Club could collect for paying the expenses of the N..S.W. team. After a general discussion it was agreed to adjourn the meeting for a week in order to consult with the Cambridge footballers after the match next Saturday. If arranged, the match will be played in Hamilton and really depends on the amount of subscriptions which tho Hamilton Club can guarantee.
The following pluyets will repreeent Cambridge in the return football match between Hamilton and diinbiidgc, to be played on the Hamilton ground on Saturday next : -Mcssis Hunt (captain), Wood, Kin?, rilling, Moon, .Moni^ey M., Morri^ey J., MeUami (Joo., McCann .J., fJ.Mnath.ui, IWtvr, AJlvu iplit, Dillon, and Simtor. Kntcvg»'nci«s : liichaidhon, Paltridge, and Chambots. The following li,i\e been chosen to form tho Hamilton team :— Messrs T. Hinton (captain), Odium, MeTntyie, Wood, Yon fiturmor, Q-iinn, Mayes, H. McKen/ie, Mjiyt's, (Jubble, (ruird, SUmMo, IVwtt, Mi-Swccnry and lioale. The mutch will begin at 3 p.m.
