The Bay Coal Company. Auckland, Monday Night. At the Bay of Isl.inds Coal Company's* annual meeting, no dividend was declared, but the mine is reported as looking better.
The Kimberley Rush. News has boon received by Mr McKonzie of the arrival of the Linda Webber at Port Darwin* with returned diggers from Kimberley. Telegrams also advice general depresbion at the port of arrival for the new goldfields.
The ARC. The Racing Club's balance-sheet showed that during the year the club had disbursed in stakes £8997, against £(>0!)2 for the previous year; £.*)( iO wan .spent in culverts, painting, filling in, etc. ; also, £150 in shifting the Derby, or second stand. The receipts for the summer meeting exceeded the expenditure by £3000, and the receipts of other meetings in proportion. £49(!i has been spent on tha new grand stand, leaving a balance of £3000 still to pay, towards which amount they had £2200 cash in hand.
