THE LATEST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —A CORRESPONDENT.]
[BY Te Auoha, Monday Night. -As a testimony of regard for the late Mr Warden Kenrick, the inhabitants met this evening at the Town Hall for the purpose of giving public expression to their sorrow for his death. The followingresolution was passed:—"The people of To Aroha and neighbourhood, in public meeting assembled, dosiro to express our heartfelt sympathy with Mrs Kenrick and family in their great and sudden bereavement, and at the same time to testify to the great of many services so willingly rendered to this district by uor late and much lamented Warden and Magistrate." A number of jthe inhabitants will proceed to the Thames by the ' Partiki to-morrow morning for the purpose of paying their last tribute of respect at the funeral. , Intelligence has been received that Sir Wm. jftnd Lady Fox, accompanied Jby Mr Glover; temperance lecturer, wil\ shortly arrive here. It is expected they will deliver ft series of lectures, but the date of their kppearance has not yet been fixed. 1
