Memorial to Lord Frederick Cavendish.
The fountain erected in Bolton WoodB, near Skipton, in memory of the late Lord Fredeiick Cavendish, was recently formally handed over by the Memorial Committee to the Cavendish family. Lord Edward Cavendish, Vl. p., in the absence of the Maquis of Hartington, accepted the memorial on behalf of the Duke of Devonshire, saying it recalled to the mind of ovcvy member of his family the heartfelt sympathy which they received from every part of the country upon the occasion of the sad event which the fountain memorialised. The Marquis of Ripon delivered an address, and spoke ot the high qualities and noble life which marked Lord Frederick. The life of the deceased was not lost. His noble example of unselfish labour remained, and generations would be reminded of it whenever they looked upon the memorial.
