Auckland, La«t Night. Somk days ago information tvaa convoyed to the police that Caffrey had been seen by some Bettlers at Waitakerei. Detective Tuley was sent to make inquiries. The settlers identified the man they had seen with the murderer's photograph. Three constables wero sent to assist Detective Tuley in |the search yesterday, and three more will be despatched to-night, the intention being to thoroughly scouro tho country between Hendersons Mill and Kaipara Heads.
