[heutkr's telegrams.] London, July 2. The Australian cricketers are now playing against a selected eleven by Thornton, at Chiswick. In their first innings the visitors scored 315, Bruce being the highest scorer with 100.

London, July 3. The match at Chiswick between Thornton's eleven and the Australian cricketers, was resumed and concluded to-day. The first innings of the home team closed for 157.
