SONNET.
They are the happiot who know most pain, In even the saddest life to every tear A thou«anil smiles are shed. Our rainiest year Ha* more of sunshine in it than of rain. Joy* golden ring o'er measures sorrow's train. Oh, point me out that form which o'er the bier Has longest lingered, shaking insincere Exlmberancy of grief— has of test lain Upon a noonday couch in ecstasy Of midnight wi etchedness, and I will say : There i.s the heart that bea*« the quickest time 'Xeath love's soft finger touch. Capacity For suffering is that for loving— they Who teach wod'x depths the heights of rapture climb. OHKMA BfcXL.
