London, June 16. vi DANyoVr was given to-night by the St. (Surge's Club to Colonial Agents-Gener.il and Various executive commissioners to the Colonial And Indian Exhibition. Sir P. Cuhliffe Owen presided, and took occasion to express tho general regret folt at. the ,de«y of. Sir Alex. Stewart. Mr Graham Berry* in reply to the toast of the executive commitftintiers, said he rejoiced in the growing conviction of ths Mother Country to the Value of her Colonien. He considered the •exhibition now open represented the federa*Mf»h of the Empire. Alluding to tho New L Hebrides question, he urged that the Imperial Government should protect the interests .^>f. the colonies in regard to those islands. jS.il 1 A. Btythe expressed the opinion that the colonies would help England if she trusted them. Mr Garrick said the present Exhibition •wan the pride of the Empire, and hoMioped a permanent colonial rnuaeum W((uld bo formed in London to continue the good work 'done by the Exhibition.
