LATEST TE AROHA. [BY TELEGRAPH.-OWN CORRESPONDENCE.] Te Aroha, Monday.
A meeting of the creditors of John Moffatt, butcher. Te Aroha, and formerly hotelkeeper of Waitoa, was held at the Palace Hotel to-day. ]£ive were present and Mr Abbey was voted to the chair. The liabilities are £157. A satisfactory arrangexa»n was iru>de, and the following resolution unanimously adopted :—": — " That Mr Moffatt had twelve months to pay half the debt, and six mouths further to pay the balance, and that Mrs Moffatt agrees to ha\e the said debt charged against her estate." Messss Abbey and Frazer where authorised to call another meeting when considered advisable.
The chairman of the 'lamahere Road Board announces in another column that a general rate of one half-penny in the£ has been struck on all rateable property within the Tamahere Road District.
