On Saturday at the Bazaar, a lo'>er number of horses than usinl were - offeicd, but only six told. Medium -draught colt, £14 light hnrne.*>s mare, £10 ; light weight luck, £!»; weeds, £2 Ids to £3 10s ; sprint: cart made £10 10s ; dog cart, £11; waggon was passed at £9, £10 being wanted. 100 bushels of oats were placed at 2s 4d, two tons of chaff at £410*, and a ton o? middling quality potatoes at £3 10s.—On Tuesday at Oh.uipo. a larxe number of cattle were yaidrd, and were nearly all of exceptional good quality, and nearly all sold. D.iiry cows were not choice, and weie v bard to quit. Three heifer-, made £4 each ; one made t'4 .")•>; old cow-, £3 10s ; Heroford -.to. r-, l'.-vr-old, £2 12s (Id to £3 ; 2 to 2\ yr-old, £3 l:w ; and 2-year-olds. £3 7s <j<J. Cattle from Ohinema were ' of extra good quality, and sold at £<> 5s of an average for steers, and £417sGd for cow*. - Pair of grown steers fat were passed at £5 IJ-, held for £6; pair of two and a-hrtlf year-old stccis in good condition, £4 ; and two pairs of very nice two and a-half to three-year-old steers parsed at £317s ftl, £5 and £4 10s, being wanted ; steer calvefrom £1 6s to £1 17s 6d, and £2 for steers, nearly a year old ; Hereford steers one and a-half-years-old, £114s ; Hereford cows in low condition, £1 15 to £2 10s, giving calves in ; weaned calves, £1 7s 6d ; empty cows, £2 ss; pen of choice two and a-half year-old steers, £3 14s. A. leßser number than usual of fat stock offered, but equal to requirements, several being passed. Prices -were from £4 for medium weight to £5 15s for choice quality. really good Messrs W. J. Hunter and Co. Report : Although an extremely wet day on Wednesday last, the special sale of Mr Sodergreen'es horses, waggons, &c, at Hamilton, was well attended, buyers being present for everything offered, and all Bold. There was also a very large number of horses, traps, cows, pigs, &c, brought forward by other clients, and we had the largest sale held here yet by us. We quote: Cortland waggon, £21 10?; ditto, £19 ; double harness, £3 15s and £4 per set; saddles, £2 17s (id and £218s; harness horses, £S to £10 7s 6d ; hacks, £4 17s tid to £5 ; hay, £3. Also, waergonette, £15 15»; harness, £3 Is ; pigs, 8s Gd each ; light har- j ness horses, £9 to £14 10s ; unbroken colts, £9, £11 10s, £10 15s, and £11 15s; good hacks, £9 to £15 10s ; ponios from £2 10s to £0 ; seed potatoes, £3 per ton. At Cambridge, on Thursday last, the Yards were well filled with store cattle, but not many beef yarded ; many more could have been sold, as the trade was well represented. All the stores sold at fully Ohaupo rates. Several good dairy cows realised fair prices. We quote : Dairy cows, £4 12s Od to £5 7s 6d; 10 heifer calves, lls 6d each; 30 steer calves, €110s; 313-year-old steers, in Jow condition, £3 15s ; fre-«h steers, £3 19a; 2-year-old steers (coarse), £2 8s to £2 10s ; fat cows and heifers, £3 2s 6d to £5 2s (id each.

Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report :— At the Haymarket on Friday, June 4, loose fodder brought from 2s to 3s (5d the cwt. ; oat". 2» 8d to 2s 9d : maize. 3s Gd the bushel. Horse stock were plentiful, and sold more freply than iihual at fully lato values. On Tuesday fodder was offered in larger quantity than is usual on this day ; prices showed an improvement on that ruling on Friday previously. The number of hides sold by auction is steadily increasing, it being found that better prices are obtained tnan by private sales. On Tuesday, Sth instant, they were pitched in full number, and brought up to 4Ad the lb, or for heavy ox hides from 25b to 27s Cd each ; tallow l(is 3d the cwt., and skeepaktns up to 2s 9d each. At Waiuku, on Saturday, the severe weather occasioned a small muster of cattle, mostly backed and dairy cows, =md for these good prices were given. At Pukekoho on the Monday following, a good supply of stock met with corresponding demand. All yarded were sold at satisfactory prices. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were plentiful, but dull of sale, Prices were lower than of late, good store steers in fair inquiry. Fat cattle in full 'number, prices lower than last week C« to 10s each. Auckland fatted steers were at 18s, but shipborne were not more than 17s the 1001b. Fat calves numerous, and kept their laje values. Sheep: In moderate supply, and slightly better worth. Pigs: Abundant, but required, and fully maintained List week's values. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses : The market has not been nearly so brisk as on the previous week, owing to the supply being a local one, and not a large number being brought forward. An average number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday. Competition was steady, as a rule, but for some lots was slack. We quote : Hacks, £5 10s to £12 15s ; light harness, £3 to £13 ; medium draught, £12 10-5 to £15. Wool, hides and skins : An incieased number were pitched at the Durham bale on Tuesday. No first-class heavieb were offered, 4^d being the price ; washed station light, 3d to 4Vi; skins,' Is 4d to Is lid each. Cattle : There has boon an increase in the number brought forward in all classes. There was a slight depression in prices of dairy stock, but ,• other descriptions maintained the previous week's values. The Newmarket pens on Tuesday were quite full, and there was also a "good number on Wednesday at Pukek»he. Dairy cows were not so well competed for, orders for Sydney having been completed, and prices had a- slightly downward tendency. Stores, particularly; steers, advanced slightly in value. Provincial fat beasts maintained fully the previous week's priced, but owing to bad weather on the West Coast, ship, bourne were looked upon with suspicion, and sold relatively lower. We quote: Calves, 18si to 235 ; yearlings, 20s to 30s ; empty cows, ' £2 to £3 5s ; grown steers in fresh condition, £5. Sheep : The number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday was below the average, there being very few ship sheep amongst them, but prices did not advance on the whole, although Is 8d per 81b was reached for prime wethers ; ewes, Is 4d per stone ; lambs sold at from 5s 9d to 9s 3d. Pigs.: 1 Some very good ones were yarded, and were well competed for, prices ranging from 2d to 3d per lb live weight. Messrs G. W. Binney and Sons' Report. — At our sales on Tuesday last we sold a full catalogue of hides and skins. Competition for all offeted was brisk. Heavy hides sold at last week's rates. We quote local butcher's ox at an average of 23s (id, some extra heavy reaching 26s Gd. Calfskins sold freely up to 4Jd per lb; medium weights realibed from 34/1 to 3Ad per lb ; lif»ht, dull of bale at 2}d to 3d. Damaged hides s>old as low as id per lb. Sheepbkins ; country skins sold up to 3s 2d each for well woolled ; Is to Is 3d for good ; butchers' bkins realised Is lOd to 2s each : lambbkiiib, Is lid. Tallow : Small parcels sold at 10& (id to 12-* per owt. We sell an extra catalogue of 200 liideb to-day (Friday).
