Protest Against the Action of France. London, June 9. 1 Mf Graham Berry and Mr Garrick have protested against the recent action of Franca in sending a vessel to the New Hebrides Lord Rosebery, to whom the protest was made, will ask M* Waddington, the French Ambassador in London, to give an explanation of the matter. The Admiralty rely on the vigilance of H.M.b. Undine and Raven, which are at present in the neighbourhood of the inlands, to look after English interests there. The Agents believe' that the present action of France is simply the prelude to annexation.
