KUMARA, Saturday. At a public meeting last night, resold* tions were passed urging ou the Government the necessity of connecting Kumar* with the Hokitika-Greyinonth line v»» Stratford and Waimu, and making pro* for the work out of the new loan. Mr J. N. Martin, contractor, fell orer a high face into a mining claim oa Thursday night, and lay for four hours before being discovered. He suffered scnlp wounds and lacerations. There was no doctor at Kumara Hospital, and he had to be taken to Hokitika.
GRFYMOUTH, Monday. By a fire yesterday at Dunganville tie store untl hotel of Aleßichee, and Store of MuLMiee were burned down and everything destroyed. The inmates had aomo difficulty in escaping.
