Melhourne, May 29. News is to hand from the Kimberley goldfields stating that one man struck a rich patch, which yielded him over lire hundred ounces of gold.
Sydxey, May 29. A meeting of polieyholders in the Australian Mutual Provident Society was held last night to consider the proposal to establish a branch office in London. Owing to the wet weather there was only a small attendance. A resolution was passed opposing the proposal to establish a London branch. Heavy r.iins nve general throughout the colony.
