The recent rain h.»h been followed by the most disastrous floods that have occurred for many years. There are several breaks on the lnvercu-gill, Kingstone, Nightcaps, Waimea Plains, and Dunodin lines. In one case the break is a mile long, ana will take some time to repair. The loss to propeity must be great, but as yet no particulars are to hand. It is still raining.
