(LIMITED),AUCKL'AND. > The Directors of this Company beg to state that it is now necessary to make application for Frozen Meat space for the season commencing in October next, and ending in May or June, 1887. A similar notice to the present, issued last year, met with no response,*and resulted in loss to all interested, as it appeared from subsequent applications (received too late to secure space), that sufficient stock would have, been [forthcoming. - ' ' So far as the Compaay is concerned, it is not prepared to render itself liable by contracting for any shipping "• space, although in the event of its receiving applications from stock-owners ; for not less than two-thirds of the lowest quantity for which the shipping companies will agree to reserve room, it is willing to make itself liable for the remaining one-third. The following is the average of the prices realised in the London Markets for New Zealand Meat during the months of September, 1885, to March, 1886, inclusive :—: — Lamb. Beef.
