IMPRISONED TWENTY YEARS FOR LOVE.

Twextt years ago an obdurate father refused his daughter permission to associate with * younp farmer of the village of Wapping, near Hartford, U.S.A. The couple had long been accepted lovers, alid when the daughter revealed the secret to her father, he locked her in a damp room until she had promised to renounce her sweetheart;.
