All stock yarded met with a quick sale. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle were in demand. Good animals -- brought from £7 10s to £9. Fat cattle in . moderate supply brought from 183 to 20s the 1001b. Sheep were better worth—twotooth wethers weighing 651b averaged 13s ; no stores offered. Fat calves were short of / requirements, and brought extreme prices. Choice dairy-fed pigs were in fair inquiry, but stores and coarse animals at very low values. Messrs. Hunter and Nolans Wkeklt Rbpobt.-— Horses : There have been a moderate degree of activity in the market, and prices were fully sustained. The nurar bet entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards was quite up to the average, and most of them found purchasers at the previous week's values. Wool, hides, and skins : Short supply but brisk demand. > Hides realised from 3^d to 4i, skins from 'Is4dto Is lOd. Cattle : The supply of dairy and fat stock has been adequate, but few stores were brought forward, and the demand for the latter was slack. There was a gond muster at the Newmarket L iYards on Tuesday. Dairy cows were well competed for, as were also fat bsasts, but stores were comparatively neglected. Dairy cows sold at from £6 to £8 10 a, beef 18s to £1 the lOOlbs. Sheep : Short of requirements, consequently prices advanced, particularly for wethers, for which from 12s to "13s 6d was given, ewes 7s to 10s 'Jd each. jPigs: Adequate supply and corresponding demand. Prices ranged from 2d to 3Jd per ' lb. live weight.
