Our in the Woit the sua is dying ,( Silent and dark stands tbo giant fir, t The wild birds aro sighing, For their king n dying; And my heart. , Thro' the woods the wind w sweeping, Sighing round the lonely fir, 1 O'er the lonely plain 'tis sweeping, ' Daath and desolation creeping To my heart. 1 The ocean lies deep, dark and red — Dread tul and dark, aud ne'er a stir: ■> A crimson light shows the sun's last bed, / The birds sing no more, tbeir king is , dead. And] my heart.
