The land at Awhitu realised 3a an acre, while that at ' ituaVaka found a purchaser during the * week at the upset price. Hides and skins on Tuesday were pitched in large numbers, and values kept at lattt quotations, viz :— Heavy bides 4d to 4gd, medium 3£d to 3-Jd, calfskins 3d to 4sd, sheepskins Is 4d to 2s 7d, pelts od to lOd, tallow 13a per cwt. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows at their profit were in demand ut full rates, '•tore 'cattle at late values. The number submitted by action at the Durham Yard 3 on Tuesday showed a slight increase' on the previous week, but no cormpoudiqg advance in rates, but most of the lots changed handy at the previous week's quotations. Wool, hides, and ■kins : The supply has been rather limited. Heavy hides were pitched, 3id, being the top price reached ; calfxkins 4id, skins, Is 9d. Cattle : There has been a good deal doing^in dairy and store stock, but the Spply of fat beasts has been limited, kiry stock and fat beasts were unchanged in /value, but prices forgrofvn atore steers seceded a little. Rather a large number of dairy cow* were yarded on Tuesday at Newmarket. There was alto a good muster of stores, those classes being similarly represented at Fukekohe on Wednesday.
