Waikato Txmts Office, Friday. AI('KI.\NI) LI\K STOCK MAHKKTH. Mr Alkkki) JJrcKLA.vn's VVkkkf-v Re pour.— At the }lu> iij.ukct on Saturday, April 21th, Judder brought from 2s M to 3s 3d the cwt, bonedust £7 5s the ton, oat* 2s 7d and 2-. Hor*p stock were yarded in nioderato number only, and with no improvement in valuer On Tuesday, consequent on the holiday*, tho usual sale of wool, hides, and skins, was almost nominal. At Papakura, on Wednesday, a •mall inn-tor of cattle, mostly young stock, obtained steady competition, prices unaltered ; and the private sale at Buckliind was fully attended by the neighbouring settlers, and sati-factory prices obtained. At Remuern, on Thursday, very Few dairy cattle were yarded. Good animals wore in demand at full values. Store cattle plentiful, and irrpgulnr in price, but on the whole hotter worth than last week. Fat cattle in full supply, but tho short markets of the p.ist two weeks occasioned a better inquiry, and prices advanced. Sheep were in usual number, but lower in price than laat week fully Is each, lambs at last week's ' values. The calves received were very inferior ; good young calves 111 request at extreme prices. Heavy rains fell, and the pigs were left over for next week's market. Mkssrs. There remained an unsatisfied demand for good heavies. Skins in short supply. A larger than usual quantity of wool was disposed of at the Durham Yards on Tuesday at from 4jd to s£d per lb, hides 3|d, skins lOd to Is 3d. Cattle : The low price during the previous week and the holidays prevented the usual supply from beinu brought . forward, consequently fat cattle advanced in value fully £1 per head. There were a good many veal calves, which sold at prices satisfactory to vendors. Dairy cows were ' sufficient foe requirements, and a large number of stores were yardod.
