The Tuesday evening "socials" in the Public Hall continue to maintain their popularity. In spite of the rain last night there wan a very gathering of visitors and residentito share in the enjoyment provided. There was iome excellent singing by Jady amateurs, and the pleasures of the evening were heightened by the harp playing of Signor Padula, who contributed several selections. His playing of the "March of the Men of Haarlech" with variations, was a masterly piece of instrumentation, and was loudly applauded. These entertainments are admirably conducted, and are deserving of the patronage of all who cau for an occasional few hours' relief from the dull routine of everv-day life.
