Mr Thompwn *aid tlio work had been commenced yiaterday. Po\rd Uevrxue.— A letter from Mr F. JT.'Urrtok* was road, enclosing a chequu for £210s'7d. (being the whole amount of the Qolltct'um^.nt, the evangelical nor vices) in payment of 'rent for the hall. It was agreed to receive it in full payment, it being only 4s 5d short of amount charged.
