PROPERTY-TAX ASSESSMENT.
The reviewers met at the R.M. Court, Cambridge, on Tuesday, at 11.0/ clock, for tbe purpose of considering tbe objections made to the valuations. Messrs Wells and Roche were on the bench, and Captains Steela and McPherson*.. togeUier with Messrs Hunt 1 ,and Fitzgerald, attended as .valuer* f^pr the districts. The assessments on the properties of the Auckland Agricultural Company. and Mr Wilson, ifr tbe Mangawhero district, I*r»re reduced by agreement prior to the court opening; but.the figure* did not transpire. Messrs Walker'a sections at. f Patetere, ohargad with being the property H>f Mr Walker senr, alone, were devided equally amongst Geo. Walker senr.} Geo. Walker junr., and James Walker, and reduced! from £2900 to £2500 ; William Muir Dougr las, Tamahere, reduced from £9154 to £8051 ; H. W. Tinne (Mr Clark, agent) , Tamahere, reduced from £3198, to £2399. Pukkkura District. — Andrew Bell, £15, valuation sustained ; A. J. Francis, £1970,— acreage was altered from 1312 to 1228 acres, reduced to £1535^ Alex. Leslie, £25, reduced to £20; John Bunciman, £30, reduced by consent, £25; Further deduction requested. - Valuation sustained; Anthony Turnwald, "Qhaupo, £970, reduced to £870 ; Wesleyan Cburclr Tsuatees (Mr Gane) £300r reduced to £100, £140, reduced to £100; Caleb Wood, £30,' valuation sustained. PIAKO COUXTY.— TaOTAOROA DISTRICT: Clihs. M. Brunskill, £2746, valuation sustained ; Maria Cudworth, £1070, valuation sustained; Geo. Huddy, 393 acrex, altered to 353, £982, reduced, £882. CAMBi*Rinai Road District.— Auckland • Agricultural Company^ £33,031, reduced, £30,000 ; Geo. F. Hosking, £500, reduced, £400, James Laney objected to valuation, but the land was proved to be' the property of Messrs Forrest and Arnold, £400, valuation sustnined ; ]y£»-Paton, objection allowed, in ' Wellington office, figures did not transpire. Philip McCann, £40, reduced to £3o. L. D. Nathan, Cam-* bridge property, valuation sustained. John Runciman, since sold to Mr Merrick, valuation £200 at £1 per foot. Mr Merrick offefed $o «ell it at^s, Gdfper. foot, and the valuation was reduced to £160, Capt, Steele, in evidence considering properly had decreased in value from October Ist, 1885, when valuation was made, 10% or 15% Archdeacon Willis, £250, reduced to J2200j Thomas Chine, £40, reduced to £80; Church of England trustees, £240, reduced to £180 ; do., do., £055, reduced to, £C 0 0; Thomas Freeman, £800, reduced to' £600 : John Hally, £250. reduced to £50 on account of some buildings having been Rallied in mistake ; John Hally, £610, reduced to £510; do., do., £250, reduced to £240; George .Hansen, £600, reduced to £500; Mr Hughes, £105, reduced to £60 ; John Kirkwood, property Cambridge West, rated twice, alter-ation ajlowqd.
