Dairy cows, from £3 10* to £4 ; ateer calves, £1 5s ; heifer calves, 15s ; 1J -year-old steers, £2 17* Gd to £3 6* ; empty cows in forward condition; £2 lln ; grown ttteerts paused at £>17» (Set Sheep : One pen of half-bred ewes, 3s 6d ; one pen crois-bred evfon', 4s pa ; and 60 crossbred ewes, in very low condition, 2s 6d eaoh ; three rains, 5s each. Horses : Not many offered and few sold. Hacks, from £3 5« to £15 ; and no draught horses ■old nor enquired for. At th« special sale of- cattle at Lichfield on Saturday, the cattle, were in very forward condition and realized quit* Ohaupo prices. Grown steers £4 10d ; three-year-old steers, £3 lid ; two-year-old steers £3 and £3 2s 6d, and 40 ODwa at £2 10a each. *

The weekly returns of the Bknf 6f England, published to-day, show thetotnl reserve of notes and bullion to be STS^SOO.OOO, and the proportion of reaen c to liabilities 41 per cent. At to-day's wool a»les 10,400 bales were submitted to competition, no improvement being manifested in the tone of the market. Cross-bred wools Hh'twed a weaker tendency. Merino were steady, but without active demand. Scoured wools, ljd to 2d below last sales. Up to the present date 141.000 bales have offered, of which 21,000 have been withdrawn from sale.— April 10.— Tb» total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom in 1,750,000 quarter?.
