THE LICHFIELD SALE.

(BT TKLEGBAPH.— OWN COKRKSPONDENT.I Auckland, Friday Night. A large party wont up by the excursion train to Licbtield to-day, upon invitations by the Thames Valley Land Company. About 150 invitations were usued, and about nine-tenths accepted. On arrival at Lichfield, 25 guettu were received by Mr Rich in bis house, and the others distributed between Mr Heane's Hotel and the Town Hall. On Saturday the quarries will be inspected, and also the land proposed for sale. Afterwards the sale of township lot*, suburban sections, and the Club House, in 11 some 17,000 acres of laud. Also GOO head of cattle, 2000 sheep, will take place, and the excursionists leaves again for Auckland on Saturday at 2.30 p.m.
