A GRIEVANCE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — An Mr T. 6. Sandes has accused me of ntealing timber belonging to the Kirikiriroa Board, you will oblige me by inserting the following : — Some short time ago I purchased some firewood timber from Mr Henderson, on lot 110, Kirikiriroa, and on Attempting to get it out was stopped by a party named Stockton, who said that he acted on Mr F. Edgecutnbe's authority. Eveutually, I applied to Mr Primrose for permission to make a road and cart out my timber, also to take any tea-tree I cut down on road away, which permission he granted. Mr Sauries has sent me a letter accusing me of stealing timber off Government roads and threatening me with legal action. I never touched one stick on any other road, nor took anything off the road mentioned before I got full permission.— l am, &c, Edward J. Moi-jtat.
