TE AWAMUTU CAVALRY.
At a meeting of the Troop held on Monday evening, Captain Rutherford in the chair, the troop account for the last twelve months were read, approved and passed. It was resolved to order white helmets of regulation pattern. The Appointment of non-commissioned officers to fill existing vacancies was deferred till the ensuing trainings which will take place in May next. The subscription to the " Watters testimonial wan unanimously voted. A fixed annual remuneration of £5 each to the secretary and bandmaster was voted. A fresh finance committee was appointed. •Some comment was passed on the continued absence from Te Awatnntu of Sub-Lieutenant Wilkinson. It was unanimously resolved that he be communicated with in order to ascertain if he intended to remain away from the district, and in the latter event it was decided that he be re quested to resign his commission.
