XfGARUAWAHIA ANNUAL 1> RACES. Easter Monday, 28th April, 1886. PROGRAMME. 1. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 10 sovs., second horae save his stakea, over six flights of hurdles, three feet six inches high. Nomination, 15s; acceptance, 10s. Distance, about 1 mile and a- half. 2. MAIDEN PLATE, of 6sovs., for horses that have never won an advertised race. Entrance, 10s. Distance, about one mile and a quarter. 3. NGARUAWAHIA HANDICAP, of 20sovs., 10 per cent, of stake to go for second horse. Nomination, one sov ; acceptance, 10s. Distance, about one mile and three-quarters. 4. HACK SELLING HURDLE RACE, of 7sovs., second horse save his •takes, winner to be sold for loaovs., surplus if any to go to funds ; weight, lOst., over six flights of hurdles, three feet six inches high. Entrance, 15s. Distance, about one' mile and a- half. 5. SETTLER'S RACE, of Ssovs., for horses the bona fide property of settlers for three months, within i a radius of six miles of Ngaruawahia. Entrance, 7s 6d. Distance, once round the course. 6. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 5 sovs. Entrance, 10s. Distance, about one mile. CONDITIONS. 1. Nominations for Hurdles and Ngaruawahia Handicaps to be forwarded to the Secretary on or before Tuesday, the 13th April, with age, pedigree and colours. 2. Acceptances and general entries to close on Tuesday, the 20th April, 1886, with Secretary at Ngaruawahia. 3. A.J.C. Rules strictly adhered to. where no special rule applies. Three horses to start or no race. 4. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon this condition : That all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint.
