LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
The Woollen Company. Auckland, Wednesday Night. A CASH deposit of £1000 has been paid on machinery ordered by the Woollen Company.
Arrival of the Governor. The Governor arrived by the Hinemoa, and was escorted to Government House by a full master of volunteers.
The Tramway Company. The Tramway Company balance-sheet shows a profit of £1,638 on the actual working of the tramway.
Bankruptcy. Atthe Official Assignee's office to-day, Mr Bradley, of the firm of Vaile and Bradley, auctioneers, was examined, and deposed that the joint liabilities of the firm were £421. He estimated that the firm had sustained an average loss of £8 per week or £354 during the It months they were in business. When he joined Mr Vailo he had no money, and was in debt to the full amount of his present separate liabilities, viz., £286.
