At to-day's wool *ales 8900 b.iles were submitted for competition. Tho tone of the market is still quiet.
The wheat market h weaker. American quotations have declined a point. Anstralym shipments uro 6d cheaper. For cargo un passage 35s has been asked. The flour market is sluggish. At the wool sale 53,000 hales were catalogued, of which 6500 bales were withdrawn. All merinos are quoted at a half penny, and scoured and clothing sorts n penny lower than hint sales. Prices foi lambs and coarvt crossbred* are unchanged. The finer quotations are weaker.
