Aroha, Friday Night. The Te Aroha Jockey Club's annual meeting took place to-day. The results of the races were as follows :—: —

Dividend on totalisator, £1 15s.

In this race what promised to be a serious accidont occurred. Laing, who rode Mr Goonan'a grey horse Hallycourt, fell heavily at the last hurdle, and was seriously injured. He is now, however, rapidly reco\ cring.

The winner was bought by Mr Edwin Edwards.

Thera was an extremely good attendance on thu course, aiH about £180 was yut through tho totaluator.
