L at nit. Details to hand in regard to tho railway collision near Mentone state that the accident was considerably over-stated at first. Only two lives were lost in the collision. Neither of the victims is English.

FRANCE. London, March 11. A RKPOHT is current to-day that a serious railway collision occurred near Mentone, in France. Twenty people are stated to have been killed, including a number of English visitors. The rumour, however, lacks positive confirmation.
