Lieutenant Rosa was heartily congratulated on his success, which is his second winning for the belt, having won it at Auckland in 1884. Remington takes the rifle belt, N.Z.R.A, gold star and £40 ; Acheson tha N.Z.R.A. silver star and £20 ; Forster, the N.Z.R.S. silver star and £10 ; Browne, £7 10s ; and Cooper, £2 10s. Downie, being the highest scorer at the final stage,' wins the Rifle Challenge Cup.

Wangaxui, Monday. The weather it, fino again to-day, but rather dull. The teams match, for which there were 23 entries, was commenced at 8.30 a.m. The conditions were : — Carbine and rifle teams company, five men each ; range, 200, 300, 400 and .r>ooyd<. r >00yd<i f «even shots at each range.
