Mr Alfred Bccklvnd's Weekly RePour.— At the Hay market on Friday last, looie fodder was in usual Hupply, and brought from 2» to 4s the cwt ; chatf, £4 5s the ton. Horse stock were yarded in lnrger number than usual, and sold more freely. Best draught, from £20 to £2l> In*. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, hiduj wore in good demand at late values ; pelt» and skins at nominal prices. Wool, in larger than usual supply, brought from s\d to 6d the Ib ; tallow, 13s the cwt. At Pukekohe on Wednesday, there was a full muster of cattle, with a good attendance of buyers, and steady competition throughout at Ka'isfactory prices, particularly for yountr cuttle and well-bred steers. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cattle were in fair inquiry, but scarcely so high in price m last week. Storn cattle in better demand. Fat cattle in full numbers, with » steady demand throughout the sale at fully last week's values. fcJhoep were in averagß number and better worth than last week, about Is each. Limbs at last week's values, hut store pig* were in good demand at a considerable advance on late values. Messrs. Hontkr and Nolans Wrkki.y Report.— Horses : Scarcely the usual number were offered for sale, and as there wern no strangers there was little excitement or alteration in value. Barely an average number were submitted by auction ; bidding was slow, but most of the lots were diaposed of, the exceptions beinu where rendors expected former values. There was no noteworthy alteration in prices a* compared with those of the last fortnight. Wool, hides, and skin* : Hide* and skins, in moderate quantity, sold for 2^d to 4W per Ib; skins, from It to 2* lOd ; wool, 6jd S»r Ib. Cattle : An average number of all ascriptions were brought forward and found purchasers at quite the previous week's values. Dairy cows were dull of ■ale at Newmarket on Tuesday, but were well competed for at Papakuraon Wednesday. Stores were in great demand at pravious values. Fat bea-sta advanced in value from 10« to 20s each. Sheep : The Newmarket yards were not so well supplied as on the previous week, consequent on the West Coast yards being empty, and prices had an upward tendency, in some instance* 2s each. Lambs were in adoquate numbers, and sold at from 8s 3d to 10-. Pigs were short of requirement, and sold comparatively high, 3Jd per Ib. live weight having been given for porkers. MusdßS G. W. Bi.vnet and Co. report that at their sale of hides, skins-, and tallow a large supply of heavy hides came to hand, and the demand was brisk, and competition keen for all lots offered. We quote fir&t class heavies, 4|d to l|jd ; seconds, 3id to 3l'l ; light and inferior, 2sd to 3Jd ; calfskins, 3^d to 4d per Ib : pelts, Id to 7d ; wvlted peltd, 9d ; lambskins, ljd to llkl ; sheepskins, 2s Id each ; tallow, 12s 6d to 13s Gd per cwt ; fat, Id per Ib.
