Km,— As the opening of thn railway line to Te Aroha t.ikes place on Monday ne\t, and as all these events h.uc an iini>ortant beating on our future, marking as they do crai in the history of Waikato's, pr<igie-«j, might I suggest the propriety of oiu worthy Mayor proclaiming a holiday on that occasion, thereby giving our Hamilton people an oppoitunity (by their presence in numbers) of lending eclat to the ceremony. No dutibt many who h.i\c not had the opportunity of .seeing Te Arnh.i, would be glad to n\ail themselves of it on the present occasion.
