NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. A native named Wahienea was arrested this morning at Titokowaru's place, Mawhitiwhitf. He was charged with maiming cattle near Hawera, and will be brought into New Plymouth Gaol. About 1000 natives from the West Coast passed through the town this morning. They go as far as Waitara, and then return.
