THE NEW TIME-TABLE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— l am told that there is to be another change in the railway arrangements, and that the evening train is to remain at Hamilton until the following morning. Can you tell me if my information is cor rect? Because if it is. it is surely high time for Cambridge, Alexandra, Ohaupo, Kihikihi, and Te Awamutu to take up the matter, and make their voices beard on the subject. The idea that passengers and mails are to be carried to within ten or twenty miles of their destination and to be detained there till next morning is surely too monstrous and unfair to be quietly submitted to by the Large population affected, or to be seriously thought of by so businesslike a man as Mr Hudson.— l am, yours faithfully, An Up-countr\ Resident. February 17th.

[We believe the information to be correct. Tho objection uiged by our correspondent has already been put before the Manager by us. Hib opinion is that the arrangement bhadovvod forth in these columns, or something closely allied to it, must be adhered to if the local .service is to be established. At the same time it would be well that an expression of public opinion should be made on the subject. We believe Mr Hudson is bincerely desirous to servo the best interests of the public, and any iepresentation made to him would, we are sure, be treated with the utmost consideration. -Ed.]
