The Cable Company received for carriage of messages from New Zealand to Australia on account of the New Zealand Australian cable, irrespective of payments for transmission beyond Australia during 18S5, £10,600, and probably an equal amount for the a«e of the cable from Auxtralift to New Zealand, besides » iub«dy of £7,500.
